Lambertville Helping Hands Benefit Concert

 —  —

Hunterdon County Fairgrounds, 1207 Route 179, Lambertville, NJ

Our estimated time of performance is approximately 1:50pm, but the stage will be rocking from 11AM to 6PM all day long! We are so happy to donate our time to the on going relief efforts benefitting those impacted by Hurricane Ida. Members of Phase 3 along with so many other locals are still dealing with the harsh effects of Ida. Half of Lambertville’s homes and businesses were damaged by the remnants of Hurricane Ida. Recovery is far from over for many people. Capitol Health and The Lambertville Chamber of Commerce plan to help by presenting the Lambertville Helping Hands Benefit Concert on October 9 and 10th. “It really is truly is exciting to me to see neighbors playing for neighbors,” said Bryan Schreck, music director for the festival. “Those that can chip in to literally help their friends, their families, their neighbors. This is Lambertville helping Lambertville.” Tickets are $35 in advance or $50 at the door. Advance tickets are available online at https://www.lambertvillechamber.com/helping-hands/

Festival-goers are encouraged to bring a picnic, but food will be available as well. Attendees will have an opportunity to support some businesses and organizations that were severely impacted by the flood. The American Legion, whose headquarters was destroyed, will be selling hot dogs and hamburgers to help fund their recovery, and Owowcow, which has yet to re-open their Lambertville location due to flood damage, will be on hand to sell their ice cream.

Lambertville Chamber Board Member Dina Finelli, who has been instrumental in organizing volunteers to provide help for flood victims and organizing the fundraiser said, “Our goal is to help rebuild a long-term, sustainable and resilient community. The Foundation meets this mission by developing and managing a comprehensive base of funds. These funds represent an expanding pool of charitable dollars, committed to meeting the needs of the people and businesses of the Lambertville, area including Stockton, directly impacted by Hurricane Ida.”

We're proud to support the Princeton PBA No. 130. The golf outing is followed by an awesome dinner party that begins at 4:30 PM and includes music by yours truly. The funds raised by this outing go directly back into the community to support some of the amazing organizations that make Princeton such a great place. In addition, funds also go to support our Police Unity Tour Chapter 10 riders. This outing has been an overwhelming success in previous years and met with rave reviews. Please consider a sponsorship and/or a foursome! Thanks as always for your continued support. For tickets, please email cking@princetonnj.gov

NEW HOPE & LAMBERTVILLE CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE ANNOUNCE THE THIRD SEASON OF FRIDAY NIGHT FIREWORKS 15 WEEKS OF LIGHTS OVER THE RIVER! Enjoy Friday Night Fireworks, a spectacle of lights over the Delaware River. The 15-week summer long promotion kicks-off on Friday, May 24 every Friday night at 9:30 pm until August 30, 2013. Orchestrated by Garden State Fireworks, a glittering ten-minute firework show will illuminate the sky over the Delaware River for the summer season. In addition, most retail businesses on both sides of the river will stay open late. Bill Scandone, co-chair and Borough Council member said, “Friday Night Fireworks have more than revitalized our communities, they are bringing us together. Our residents are waiting in anticipation for Fireworks 2013, and we aim to please. All ages come out to watch the display. Our goal is to dazzle while enforcing our safety first policy. We thank all of the protection groups, fire, Police, river protection and Bridge Commission. We could not do this without their support.” “It takes a village and then some to pull off Friday Night Fireworks,” commented Nick Gialias, co-chair and owner of the Logan Inn. “We are working endlessly to raise enough funds so everyone can enjoy the spectacular show as well as the many shops, restaurants and activities our river towns have to offer. But we need financial contributions to make it all happen.” This year, we will have street teams collecting donations.
